The prophet Amos, a shepherd and fig-tree tender from Judah, confronted his prosperous yet corrupt people in the 8th century BC. Despite the economic stability and political security of the time, Amos’s message exposed their hypocrisy, empty worship, oppression of the poor, injustice, complacency, and idolatry. He called for genuine repentance, justice, and covenant faithfulness. His message served as both a warning of impending judgment and a promise of restoration.
This series invites believers to pursue God’s wisdom for navigating the complexities of life, drawing from the timeless truths of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and James. In a world filled with competing voices and fleeting philosophies, God’s Word offers a sure foundation for decision-making, relationships, work, and trials. Each week, we’ll explore how biblical wisdom shapes our daily walk, equipping us to live faithfully and fruitfully in a way that honors God and blesses others.
