There is a huge difference between doing something for Jesus and doing something with Jesus. To follow him we must trust the avenues he both opens and closes.

I have just listened to the sermon from March 3. I love that the church is dreaming, but this message reached me on a personal level. For the past 6 months, I have been praying for God to open the door(s) He wants me to walk through and close those He does not. I have faithfully approached many doors. . .and they have all remained closed, except the one in which I have stood for those six months. I am pretty discouraged and, probably hurt, that there is no new door, no new beginning. Thank you for reminding me to be obedient to the last thing I heard; it is not the answer I want, but your sermon helps me to hold on, to keep listening and to give my best – to “go wherever you go with all your heart”. Again, thank you for this word which spoke so powerfully to me.
Thank you for that feedback, Kathleen. It can be hard to stay positive when things aren’t going how we expected or hoped, but you are right to keep faithfully listening to the Holy Spirit who will not fail you!
