What is the final piece to the Great Commission puzzle, for the church to finally and fully be the church? Yes, the Holy Spirit provides us with a right understanding of Jesus. Yes, the Holy Spirit produces a supernatural boldness in the face of danger. Yes, the Holy Spirit enables a right humility in place of our sinful pride and self-reliance. But it’s not enough to just see Jesus for who he is, or to see threats for what they really are, or to even see ourselves as we really are. We need to see others the way God sees them.
