Scripture: Hebrews 10:19-22
The blood of the lamb, sacrificially poured out for another, was the life of Israel. All the blood spilled for generations pointed to the sacrifice of the Lamb of God, whose life is released for all who have faith in him.

Scripture: Exodus 12:13
The universal problem of sinful man is that he makes himself his own standard of right and wrong, seeks to indulge in and satisfy whatever impulses or cravings he has, and will use others in order to satisfy or save his own skin. Jesus Christ is the solution to that problem. He is only ever yielded to the will of the Father, giving his life away to save the world. He is a God worth loving, following, and obeying.

Scripture: Judges 19:25
The message of hope in the story of Noah is that even in the fury of God’s wrath through the raging waters of the flood, one can see the depths of his divine mercy and compassion. In the same way, and to an even greater degree, in the cross of Christ we see both the fury of God’s wrath against sin but also his loving invitation to find rescue from judgment.

Scripture: Genesis 7:17
What is the hope for a person bound in sin, lost in darkness, and powerless to do anything about it? What is the hope for a church rife with division, factions, and immorality? What is the hope for a broken world doomed for destruction, in desperate need of repair, and longing to be set right? The only hope there is: The hope of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
