In the book of Amos, the prophet spoke to Israel about the judgment of God that they would experience. They thought they were secure. God identified with His people but they did everything contrary to Him. They had become complacent because they thought they had a privileged position. Instead, judgment was coming like an unexpected flood. It is a sobering reminder to us to have humble hearts before the Lord, to repent of sin and to walk closely with Him.
