Why did God create the world?<\/h5>\n

Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Why does the universe exist?<\/strong>
\nGod created it.<\/p>\n

Colossians 1:16-17 – For by [Christ] all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities – all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What did God create?<\/strong>
\nGod created everything. This includes people, animals, nature, and governments.<\/p>\n

Was God’s work done after creating it?<\/strong>
\nNo, he continues to hold all creation together.<\/p>\n

Why did God create?<\/strong>
\nBecause God is three persons (see lesson on Trinity in week 3<\/a>), God did not create because of loneliness, but the Triune God desired to invite others into loving relationship. God created out of love so that He could show his love.<\/p>\n
