EMC offers many other ministries to those within our church body and those throughout our community and world. Central to our mission is the disciplship of believers in order that they may be equipped to go back into their respective worlds to honor Christ and serve others. We have also partnered with other ministries in the region that are making a difference for Christ. Explore the many ways in which EMC is living out God's vision for our community of faith.

Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

Hands of Hope

Hands of Hope is a ministry for women who want to share their skills in knitting, crochet, cross stitch, and quilting, and bless others with the works of their hands.

Men

Men at EMC have several different options for fellowship and growth, from weekly men's prayer and Bible studies, to monthly men's breakfasts, to seasonal men's retreats.

Women

Women at EMC have a wide variety of ways to connect and grow together, including Morning Light/Night Light (seasonal meetings for fellowship and study), annual Ladies' Tea, annual Women's Conference, and more.

Missions

We take seriously the commission to reach the world with the Gospel of Christ. We strongly support missions efforts in the United States and in various parts of the world. Our missions committee administrates the combined effort, informs the congregation about needs and opportunities, organizes short-term missions trips, hosts missions Sundays throughout the year, and conducts an annual Missions Conference each fall.

Prayer

A sincere and faithful group of people stand ready to pray for urgent needs that come to light. The prayer team circulates information primarily by phone, and the leader can be contacted to begin the process of intercessory prayer.

SOULs

SOULs (Serving Others in Unity and Love) is a "feeding" ministry consisting of teams from 20+ Christian churches throughout the Elizabeth City area who believe in serving the Lord by feeding the "least of His brethren" - the needy, the homeless and the hungry.

Young at Heart

Our seniors (55+) love to meet together on a monthly basis for fellowship, food, prayer, music, and a short program. This is a great opportunity to get to know others who are retired, or semi-retired, and have some shared experience.

Ministry Teams

There are many other ministry teams, focusing on greeting, hospitality, visitation, discipleship, outreach, and everything in between.
